San Francisco (half) Marathon, here I come!

I was looking at some pictures from a few years ago when I was training for the San Francisco Marathon and realized that I’ve definitely gotten fatter.  (I’m almost 10 lbs lighter in this picture from Geoff’s bachelor party.)  I guess marriage, baby, and eclipsing the 30 year mark has a tendency to do that.

Anyway, I got some spam mail from the San Francisco marathon people and noticed that the race now goes over the Golden Gate Bridge!  When I ran it, the course only took you through the Presidio.  So I thought it might be a good motivator to get off my butt and do a long run once a week at least.  Now I’m signed up and ready to invest in a new pair of sneakers.  (Despite Bonnie’s protests, I still have the t-shirt I ran the San Francisco and Chicago marathons in so I’ll probably wear that again… even though it has a hole in it.)

Anyway, if any of you are interested in running with me (I’m slow) let me know.  It should be a great experience!  How often do you have the opportunity to race across the Golden Gate Bridge!
