Sunday with our east coast peeps

Vin and Denise were nice enough to host a get together for a whole bunch of our east coast friends.  Most of the pictures center around the kids in attendance.  Ellen and Mike’s baby, Natalie, is super cute.  She’s just a couple weeks older than Alissa.  They weren’t quite sure what to make of each other… more on that later.

Geoff and Asha’s son, Kiran, is also super cute despite the scab on his nose from taking a header down some stairs a couple days ago.  Apparently, he’s a big fan of trucks… and boogers.

As Natalie is a couple weeks older than Alissa, she’s just recently started eating solids.  As messy as it looks, if Alissa looks half as cute as Natalie does here, I think we’ll be able to get through it.

So, back to the Alissa-Natalie relationship.  When they first met in the picture above, Alissa seemed to try to hold Natalie’s hand.  Natalie wasn’t happy with that at all and started crying.  Then we tried having them sit on the couch for a picture.  Well, as you can see below, neither of them were happy about that.

And now here we are again, trying to force them to socialize with similar results.

Oh well, Natalie took everything in stride for the most part… especially when wearing her cool shades.

Now, as for the food, there was tons.  Chicken, burgers, salad, four-bean salad, etc.  Vin had ribs smoking for about six hours… mmm… smoky.

My only complaint about the day was that it ended so quickly.  It was great to see everyone but I feel like I didn’t get a chance to fully reconnect with folks.  Oh well, you all will just have to come visit us in SF soon!
