Alissa’s first foray into solid food
By jason, June 29, 2007 on 6:08 pm | In alissa, food | No CommentsWe went to Alissa’s 6-month doctor appointment yesterday and left with some shots, directions on starting solids, and overall, a clean bill of health. She’s now 14.5 lbs and 24.5 inches long. Still in the 25th percentile and 10th percentile respectively. (We love Dr. Langston by the way.)


Here’s Alissa’s first try at eating some rice and milk. Not a big fan apparently. I think we made the mistake of trying something new when she was really hungry. She also was running a slight fever from the shots so she wasn’t feeling all that hot either.

Here’s try #2. This time we did it in between feedings. Also, her fever came down a bit since the last feeding after some baby tylenol.

This one went much better… even though more probably dribbled down the bib than down her tummy. But at least she didn’t flat out refuse it like the previous time. Here’s some video of it:
