Some random Alissa pics
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 11:04 pm | In alissa | No CommentsI know, I know… yet another set of Alissa pics. What can I say? She’s a well documented baby.
For those of you who are bored of looking at baby pictures, you can focus on her hot daddy.
Doesn’t he look trim and well tanned? It’s only because the suit hides the gut. And the tan is more specifically a farmer tan. Although a farmer tan from all the half marathon training I’ve been doing. And when I say “all,” I mean not all that much but enough to create a nice contrast between the farmer tan parts and the super white parts. And when I say super white parts, I mean my butt. Don’t be ashamed ladies, I know that’s what you were thinking.
Anywho… in other news, Alissa has now mastered the art of eating rice, oatmeal, and barley without any sign of allergic reactions. However, as all of you with kids know, one “reaction” that we are now graced with comes from what I’ll call the “solid waste” treatment facility. Yes ladies and gentlemen, solid food = solid poop. And boy is it stinky. Sorry… I know I went from one distasteful subject to another. I’ll spare you the yucky but funny details of one particular incident and just put an image in your head:
Oh well, at least she only has one poopy diaper every day or two now instead of one every feeding.
On to the final topic of the day, Alissa has now started baby-babbling “dada” fairly regularly. I know she doesn’t know what she’s saying, but it’s kinda nice anyway. We’re trying to get her to babble “mama” now but I hear babies usually don’t get the hang of that one until later.

Thanksgiving video at Uncle George’s circa 1988
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 7:44 pm | In family, video | 1 CommentThere’s some really funny stuff with Leslie and Jen in the middle of this one. Good times, good times.

Ocean City, MD family vacation
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 7:36 pm | In family, video | No CommentsHere are some clips that are entertaining for a few different reasons. I think there are some hairstyles, wardrobes, and other aspects of the time that are… let’s say “regrettable.” And of course, Leslie and Jennifer were really young so I’m sure they’ll love this!

Let the embarrassing videos begin!
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 7:22 pm | In friends, video | No CommentsOk, so here’s some great stuff that I found in the old video archives. Jenny is gonna kill me for this.

Edmond and Sonia get married!
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 4:42 pm | In friends, san francisco | No CommentsEdmond and Sonia got married at the Palace of Fine Arts Saturday. It was a little on the windy side, but very pretty. Here’s the whole album. There were so many photographers there! I stayed out of the way so most of my pics aren’t that good, but I did what I could.

Taryn’s first b-day
By jason, July 15, 2007 on 4:38 pm | In friends, san francisco | No CommentsWe went to Taryn’s first birthday party on Saturday at Yet Wah in the Richmond. So many little kids! They’re everywhere! It’s like an epidemic. Here’s Taryn and Helen’s daughter Chloe.

Chloe “kisses” by headbutting:

And here’s Jen and Dave’s newborn Ryan. He’s all of 6 weeks old. I know Alissa was about his size only six months ago, but its hard to imagine these days.

Bear outfit, redux
By jason, July 9, 2007 on 10:08 pm | In alissa | 1 CommentIt’s been a while since Alissa has worn the bear outfit since the weather has been quite warm, especially compared to our typical outer sunset summer standards. So on a whim, I decided to see if she would still fit it. Turns out she does, just barely. So, as you might expect, I took the opportunity to snap a few quick pics.

Half Moon Bay Nursery
By jason, July 8, 2007 on 5:55 pm | In alissa, random stuff, travel | 1 CommentWe went to the Half Moon Bay Nursery today to get some shrubs for the front planters. I haven’t done any sort of yard work since moving away from home but hopefully, I don’t end up killing these little guys of the left:

I’m actually thinking about pruning them so they end up looking like a big ball on the end of a stick. How hard can it be? We’ll see… they were only $10 a pop so if I end up killing one, we can always go get some more.
As you can see, we also picked up a hydrangea and a tomato plant. Those will be under Bonnie’s care. She’s had good luck with most of the plants we have around the house so hopefully they thrive as well. Here are a few more pictures from our day out:

Doesn’t Alissa look like such a big girl? *Sigh* They grow up so fast!

More home video… this time from the mid-late 70′s
By jason, July 7, 2007 on 9:41 pm | In alissa, family, video | 1 CommentI apologize for the length of the video… I didn’t have the time to edit it so I just added some 80′s music. (I always associate my childhood with 80′s music although technically, I suppose I’m a product of the 70′s.) Also, the quality is pretty shoddy. I think my dad missed the focus slightly for the transfer to analog video. Plus there are some pretty bad compression artifacts. Oh well… have to live with it until broadband is much broader. Anyway, once again, you’ll notice that Alissa is definitely daddy’s baby.
