Amanda likes to sing and dance

By jason, February 19, 2010 on 12:49 am | In amanda, ashley, video | No Comments… but she can hold her own.
Here’s my interpretation of what’s going though their heads.
Amanda picks up the book and says, “I’m gonna give this to mommy. Oops, I fell.”
Ashley, being the pain in the butt younger sister, immediately makes a move to get in Amanda’s way. “Haha, can’t get past me… I’m even going to arch my back so you can’t use the couch to get by.”
Amanda says, “Outta the way fatso!” and proceeds to throw her out of the way with a stiff arm before finishing her off with a hip check.
Happy Valentine’s Day

By jason, February 14, 2010 on 1:12 am | In alissa, amanda | No CommentsWe ran some errands in San Mateo today and took the opportunity to visit a new park. A quick search revealed Boothbay park had some good playground equipment so we stopped for a bit and let Alissa explore some new turf and let Amanda and Ashley try their hand at swings. Amanda kinda liked it. Ashley wanted nothing to do with it. Here are some pictures.
Amanda’s a mess with her snotty nose and out of control hair. Such bad parents.

Not sure about the expression.

Took some liberties with the editing here.

Alissa is a big fan of throwing the wood chips around.

Here are some random pictures from yesterday.

Happy Birthday Amanda and Ashley
By jason, February 6, 2010 on 3:31 am | In alissa, amanda, ashley | No CommentsWe got some Hawaiian takeout and gave the babies some cupcakes today to celebrate on their actual birthday.
Amanda went to town:

Ashley seemed to like in a slightly more reserved fashion:

No surprise, Alissa was also a fan:

Amanda and Ashley’s first birthday party
By jason, January 31, 2010 on 12:56 am | In amanda, ashley | No CommentsWe had a small party for the twins today at Yeah! restaurant in Redwood City. We were able to rent out nearly the entire restaurant and ended up packing it entirely with good friends and family. The food was pretty good I thought although they were late in serving and slow to replenish. But otherwise, I think everyone had a good time. Bonnie brought a bunch of crayons and coloring books for the smaller kids. And we hired a balloonist to make all sorts of fun things that both smaller and bigger kids seemed to enjoy. Also, I put together a video to play on the flat screen in the background. The first half is the same video I did covering their first few days and the second half is from the rest of the year.

And what is a birthday party without birthday cake?! We ordered this one from Anderson Bakery. (Bonnie made the lady bugs and bumblebees with fondant herself.) It was pretty tasty… white cake, strawberry cream frosting and raspberry filling. Just sweet enough and very tasty.

We had to wake Ashley up to cut the cake. Neither she nor Amanda was all that into it.

Look at that chubster! Jacqueline is pretty cheeky herself. (KIDDING Benita… jeesh.)

Random pictures from the little camera
By jason, January 18, 2010 on 2:46 am | In alissa, amanda, ashley | No CommentsI did a purge of the pictures from our little camera and thought these were worth sharing.

How a three year old and almost one year old’s play.
Amanda and Alissa at my desk
By jason, January 11, 2010 on 10:56 pm | In alissa, amanda | No CommentsThis is just one of those random moments in my day. Thought I’d try a little black and white for a change. Also, to capture the documentary style of Alissa’s first “good” picture. (The one of my fat, wrinkly face… getting old!) I’m not sure she actually looks through the view finder… it seems like she squints the wrong eye. In which case, all the more impressive I guess. =)
Girls… lots of girls
By jason, December 6, 2009 on 1:09 am | In alissa, amanda, ashley, family | No CommentsWe went to the Huey’s new house today to help with some pictures and took a few with all 6 girls just for fun. Here’s one of them:

Apparently, the Huey’s smile. The Wang’s do not.
